A Weekend with Karol Oakley - 2 Day Pastel Workshop

A weekend of discovering hands on pastel know-how for those new to the pastel medium. Learn the best info and practices as we start exploring how to use pastels in mark-making, how pastels and tone work together and discover the versatility of what pastel sticks are capable of. There will be ‘step by step’ demonstrations, explanations, ‘one on one’ tutoring, with equal time shared across participants. This is part one of two structured workshops delivering the basics of soft pastels painting techniques, tips and practical usage. Participants will leave with a workbook of exercises to refer to and their very own finished painting. Skill Level: open to all levels, prepared for beginner pastellists.
